Birdwatching
The Siniscola region, including La Caletta and nearby villages and towns (Posada, Torpè, Lodè, Lula), offers spectacular opportunities for birdwatching and observing other wildlife. Spot flamingos, hawks, eagles, mouflons, martens, and foxes.
Road bike, gravel & MTB
With low traffic, excellent road conditions, minimal human presence, trails, and single tracks, the area is perfect for road cycling or mountain biking in complete safety and relaxation. Experience climbs and plateaus, trails through ancient forests, downhill routes, and visits to small, timeless villages.
Beaches
A simple day at the beach in our area highlights why Sardinia is a must-visit destination. Just a short distance from our guesthouse, Il Porticciolo, you’ll find some of the island's most stunning beaches: La Caletta, Santa Lucia, Capo Comino, and Berchida. These beaches are known for their shallow waters, protection from the wind, crystal-clear seas, fine white sand, and excellent facilities for swimming and dining.
Trekking and walking
Trekking and environmental walking are among the most enchanting activities in our area, thanks to the numerous well-marked trails on Montalbo and along the coastal stretch of the Capo Comino/Berchida SIC (Site of Community Importance). Discover ancient forests, limestone rocks, old charcoal burners' trails, and nuragic sites. Trails can be explored independently or with local guides.
Kite surf
La Caletta is home to what is perhaps the best beach for kitesurfing, offering consistent winds almost year-round, along with dining and bar services. A long-established local association organizes courses and events dedicated to the world of kitesurfing.
La Caletta is quickly becoming one of the most renowned kitesurfing destinations, attracting enthusiasts from all over Europe and beyond.
Kayaking
One of the activities to enjoy in the area is kayaking on the Rio Posada. Explore the hidden bends of the river park, the farthest reach of the Tepilora Park. Paddle under the guidance of expert park guides, examining aquatic plants, animals, numerous birds, and the surrounding environment.
